Just What The Doctor Ordered...

Due to the changes ie, The Prostate Cancer Foundation Of New Zealand and Movember parting ways - as announced this week - Please note that we have decided to stay with raising money to support The Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand so watch this space for fantastic hot off the press news as we work alongside the charity that have got behind us 100% with our new awareness campaign. We wish everyone a great time with Movember and the chosen charitiy that it will support, all fundraising is good........The tight constraints around Movember mean that they have the legal rights on growing facial hair for charity in the month of November - so watch this space as we're just checking the legalaties of our new campaign which won't include a mo bro and in November - NO!!............

We'll Flash Our Tash Anyway...

OMG - how many times have our phones rang overnight with the latest news on the decision for the The Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ to split from Movember - and quite rightly so!! Obviously there's way more politics to it, however - we DO want the money to stay and be spent in New Zealand AND we DO want the specialists, consultants and surgeons to decide on HOW and WHEN that money is spent, so as they say in the racing world - "AND THEY'RE OFF" - we'll do it on our own if we have to, but judging by the HUGE support that we have got over Think Pink, we know that we'll be just fine. Massive sponsorships are coming in and as we have always said that the money was being raised for The Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ, nothing will change except the night just keeps on getting better. Another month has flown....STIHL MOWING....

Another month has flown, and although Think Pink is at the forefront of our meetings at the moment as it is 6 weeks earlier than Movember, it's at the forefront of Natalies head... Nat has been parading around town with her Movember and Think Pink tee-shirt on and getting the word out, and the official launch of Movember will be at Think Pink, although Movember only starts on the 1st November, we will get everyone to start to sign up for our team from Think Pink onwards.. After having Hamilton Party Hire out for the Think Pink marquee, I should have asked Nathan to quote us for the Movember marquee too - it will run off the front of the hotel as an extension. At the moment, we can't seem to get beyond the 80'smusic - it is sooooo distracting - it's the case of do you remember this - over and over and over again. At least with having curly hair, I can get BIG hair rather easily, and Nat has about 4 options of fancy dress to think about - Anne White is so busy at the moment she can barely think beyond next week - but if you're local or you know us, we'd love to hear your memories on 1980's party food.

We are working on both Think Pink & Movember at the MOment, but it's the really boring bits to read, you know, sorting out the printing, official celeb invites, RESPONSES FROM MC's and the like -hehehe. NEW IDEA....

OMG - I've just come up with a new idea as a prize for the night, I told Nat and she almost choked to death. That could be because she has pneumonia at the moment [truly - so get well soon Nat]. We have a super, massive huge shout of THANK YOU goes to Maree Worth of Putaruru Super Liquor. That woman is a true godess. She's helped us out sooooooo much this week, she's a true legend. Don't forget that if you're travelling through good old Putaruru and in nees of a prezzie for someone - Maree makes bloody awesome gift baskets so stop by and grab one [ for a small fee of course - lol]....Thanks Maree

The Blokes Sheds' a comin..........

Guess what we've just secured...a shed....a blokes shed.....a new one - brand spanking new and we're going to fill it (well our sponsors are) with beer & blokey things. Now you ask, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH IT???? Well, we're going to raffle it, so you - YES YOU, could be the proud owner of a blokes shed full of blokes stuff - no girls allowed [whatever]. Watch this space to see what things are going to go into the shed and keep an eye out for the tickets going out on sale. Another meeting under our belt today, and Nat had to confess that her long list of 80's music was from a whole series of 80's music VIDEOS at home. For Pete's sake - the girls gone back a few decades and has become obsessed with club sandwiches - hehehe. Well back to the daily grind.........................

We made the bad move today of reminising on the good Ol' 80's. We're enjoying every minute, and as 3 control freaks ( I think that we all have obsessive compulsive disorder) we can TRULY stand by everything on the night - Anne's even made the bloody TAXI signs because she meant to do it for the ball and forgot, so she made them whilst she remembered....That's a wee tad too scary :0)

Busy Times .........

Well things are heating up at the MOment (sorry had to do that one). Flash Your Tash is now our slogan for Movember 80's, and what a week we've had. After last Monday's meeting, we've been flat out organising sponsorships, and like Think Pink, the invitation to our celebs to be MC's has gone out. Just a few hours work on this one, but boy have we got some awesome stuff together for this one - I think that the blokes will be really surprised that the girls can pull such good stuff together WITHOUT any male input. The main thing still has to be sorted however - THE LATE LATE night license......Here's hoping.

Easy Post...

This will probably be the easiest post for me to do today..Think Pink & Movember blog entries for once will both be the same. This week, both events were advertised in the prattler via the newspapers, so it makes us get organised....Problem is we're such control freaks - ha ha. At the moment, we're just getting everything in place to be able to concentrate on the sponsorships. For Think Pink, we have a few things up our sleeve for the night, whereas Movember will rely on the whole month ahead and everyone growing their MO's - Annie has come up with a hillarious idea for Movember which should bring in serious money, so you'll have to just buy a ticket and be there on the night.

SPONSORSHIP

If you're interested in sponsoring any part of either night, this is what we're looking for:

Financial sponsorship - to cover food, non alcoholic drinks (Think Pink), band, hireage etc, to enable us to send as much money as possible off to the charities. It can be from $1 to $1 million honestly - every bit counts..

Artists - We're hosting an auction of art works at Think Pink. These will be vastly advertised beforehand, and we shall host the auction on the night. So if you're an artist and wanting to make a 1 off piece in aid of the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust - get in contact with any of us (our numbers are below).

Raffle Prizes - and yes we're being cheeky here because we're looking for anything at all that can be raffled of in advance of BOTH events. You know - if you have a bach or holiday home - and you're willing to offer it out for a weekend,etc... There will be a HUGE push for this locally AND outside the area too.

Well - the year of parties is finally here, and we've got our DJ on board - Johnny Dryden who will be bloody awesome for the night so if anyone out there want's to sponsor his fee of $650, you can pledge it by dropping us a comment through blogger. The team at the hotel are fizzing to get on board and make this a fantastic fundraiser.
